The Contribution of Czechia, Lithuania, and Slovakia to the Summit for Democracy Process
On 16 February 2022, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMFUS) will consider the participation of Czechia, Lithuania and Slovakia in the Summit. While Western European nations criticised the Summit, certain Central European countries stood out as enthusiastic and committed supporters of democracy. The event will present a detailed analysis of the national commitments and ambitions of Czechia, Lithuania, and Slovakia and consider what opportunities it gives these countries to elevate their international profile and democratic image, and make effective commitments to help address the serious challenges to democracy.
